About Photokin

Photokin is a Community Interest Company based in the South of England.

Founded by established commercial photographer and videographer Caitlin Lock, Photokin works with businesses and organisations to capture their stories through photography and film — and every commercial project we take on funds a Reframe Workshop for people facing hard chapters in life.

Our Reframe Workshop framework has been created with Child, Community and Educational Psychologist Dr Sarah Sivers, it is designed to help people navigate difficult circumstances such as loss, change, illness and uncertainty, using empowering, trauma-informed acceptance and storytelling techniques.

The free workshops provide a space for participants to find the words to tell their story, and to improve their wellbeing by externalising internal narratives.

The Photokin model is straightforward: you commission us to produce your visual storytelling and we use some of the budget to facilitate a workshop that improves community wellbeing and gives a voice to unheard stories.

Every shoot, every edit, every frame we deliver is doing double duty, and we share a meaningful impact report for every workshop delivered.
